The Fede Family

This cute little family and I had an early morning date a couple of weeks ago. I mean early. It was about 7:00 on a Saturday morning, which already tells you these people are dedicated to their word.

It was super chilly out that morning...so cold, that Shea was having a tough time keeping warm in her skirt. We were most worried about little Will though. That worry was without reason, because I think Will was the biggest trooper of all of us. He just laughed and smiled and carried on...as if he was right at home.

We did a photo shoot in the country, showcasing some of nature's fine, fall colors. The photos are not steeped in fall colors, but rather just have a hint of fall...showing through. Fall is lingering this year, and for that, I'm glad.

After walking around, snapping photos over about 5 acres of land, and having a grand ole time, the magical photos to follow came to life.

Thanks, Michael and Shea (and Will) for the good times! It was a lot of fun!

Sarah Dale+Justin | Wedding

What a beautiful Saturday morning it was. Not a cloud in the sky and a slight, cool breeze that brought a freshness to the day.

It was Sarah Dale and Justin's wedding day, and it would all be happening in less than 5 hours.

The church on a hill there in Corinth was busy with people readying the day for this special ceremony.

Before the ceremony, many secrets abounded. They chose the traditional stance of the bride not seeing the groom before they walked down the isle. Two bridesmaids walked into the room with a satin sash. Justin and I were wondering what it was for, and then they proceeded to blindfold him with it. Then, Sarah Dale entered....and what a beauty! She approached Justin and they had some nice, intimate moments...chatting about the morning.

Apart they went, as everyone needed to finish getting ready. Both, in their separation, eagerly awaited the moment that they would live together...forever.

Thank you, Sarah Dale and Justin, for letting me share in your special day.

Tell Your Story With 1,000 Words

I've launched my very first contest. It is a photo contest of sorts, but not where you submit your own photos to be voted on. I actually hand-picked some contestants (previous photography session clients) for a chance to win a free 1-hour photo shoot with 1,000 Words Photography.

All of the interaction is happening over on our facebook page, so please go check it out if you would like: www.facebook.com/1000wordsphoto

You might be thinking, what's really in it for me? Well, even if you're setup to win the 1-hour photo shoot, you could get some discounts on future photography needs just by participating. Anyone who votes gets 20% off of their next order with 1,000 Words Photography!

I've put all of the details in a note on the facebook page, so be sure to read them and participate!

Happy Voting!

Fall Is A-Coming

There have been a few hints that fall is on its way. I said a few, mind you. It's still been hot enough most days for the feeling to not be too real, but it's a-coming, as they say.

I personally, really like the fall. I love the summer and the flowers and all of it...well, I don't like the 100 degree days that we see a lot of during the summer. I do love the cooler days, and downright cool nights that we see. Partly, I must admit, due to the light electricity bill that we have. The other part...it's just nice for a change. It's hot around here quite a bit of the year, and it's just nice to have that change that says, "Another season is coming...get ready."

Our lives are like this too...we get tired of the same, old thing happening time and time again. We get stuck in a rut, wondering when that change is coming. You just need to look for the signs of it though...it's there, lurking in the near or distant future. Your change will come...will you have the insight to see it and recognize it when it does?
