Whitney+Ryan Wedding

They told me it was very close to the railroad, but as I pulled up to this nice, Madison home...I saw just how close that was. It was right on the railroad! Their papaw had grown up working for the railroad and still gets the railroad folks to stop and talk to him every chance he gets.

Whitney and Ryan are getting married in the Dominican Republic....and what a destination. I wish I could have been a part of that, but they already had it booked, as I just came to know these down-to-earth people. They found out, after the fact, that their wedding there in the Dominican Republic would not officially be recognized by the United States, so they wanted to have a ceremony here to make it official.

I am lucky enough to be a part of that. They asked me to come to their Papaw's house and photograph a small, intimate wedding...with pretty much just family there. Boy, was it intimate! What a closely knit group of people! They even insisted that I stay and eat with them...their home cooked spread. (Unfortunately I had something else after that and could not stay.

Thank you, Whitney and Ryan, for letting me be a part of your day! It was truly special...and that is just what I gathered from seeing the emotion in the photographs!

The Fede Family

This cute little family and I had an early morning date a couple of weeks ago. I mean early. It was about 7:00 on a Saturday morning, which already tells you these people are dedicated to their word.

It was super chilly out that morning...so cold, that Shea was having a tough time keeping warm in her skirt. We were most worried about little Will though. That worry was without reason, because I think Will was the biggest trooper of all of us. He just laughed and smiled and carried on...as if he was right at home.

We did a photo shoot in the country, showcasing some of nature's fine, fall colors. The photos are not steeped in fall colors, but rather just have a hint of fall...showing through. Fall is lingering this year, and for that, I'm glad.

After walking around, snapping photos over about 5 acres of land, and having a grand ole time, the magical photos to follow came to life.

Thanks, Michael and Shea (and Will) for the good times! It was a lot of fun!
