Traditions

Traditions. If followed, they can become timeless. For instance, it seems like just yesterday that we started building and decorating gingerbread houses as a family. In fact, it was more like 8+ years ago that we began this tradition.

It has truly morphed into something that we all expect and look forward to. Each year, we hone in on what we really like and don't like about it. We are constantly fine-tuning it, so that the next year, we can do it more efficiently and on a smaller budget.

This year's grandeur was nothing less than beautiful. Just as in the past, you see some very different decorating methods and ideas being used. We usually pair up to build the houses, in order to keep costs down. I love seeing what each year will bring and look forward to many more...maybe even continuing on until my kids take part in this wonderful tradition.

Quick, but No Less Sweet

Last week, I met with the Fede Family to do a short, mini-shoot at the park. Their cute little one was sitting up now, and we wanted to get some Christmas shots of him and the whole family.

It was fun...we just walked all around the park, as they already had their Christmas decorations up, finding different scenes to make a photo. I think we came up with some great ones, and I hope the Christmas card that is sent out to friends and family will bring smiles abundantly.
